Essential oil has been trendy in the past few years. Plenty of people I know use them for relaxation, health and beauty purposes. Only recently, I found out about essential oil for sex. Turns out, aside from its practical, obvious use to set the mood and massages, these oil also contain other health benefits. Below are some of my favorites.
TO RELIEVE STRESS AND GET IN THE MOOD
Ylang ylang and sandalwood oil have been proven to relax muscles and relieve tension. They also calm emotions and destress the users. These oil are perfect to be used after a long, tiring day and to get in the mood before a session, whether it is with our partner or solo.
AS AN APHRODISIAC
Rose and jasmine are well-known to make us feel sexy and perform as an aphrodisiac. These oil helps relieve anxiety, depression and other emotional situation that might ruin your sex life.
TO IMPROVE HEALTH DURING OFF DAYS
Lavender is one of the most-widely used essential oil in the market for an obvious reason. Not only it calms and relaxes its user, lavender also helps alleviate sickness when you feel a little off and lacks energy. Let’s be honest, no one would be in the mood for sex when they aren’t feeling well.
One of my favorite thing to have from my partner is a sexy, deep massage before getting into the foreplay. The best oil to accommodate this need would be lavender, geranium and coriander.
TO STAY AWAKE AND ENERGIZED
One of my favorite fragrance of all time, patchouli, not only energizes and keeps you awake to perform. It also increases sensitivity in the erogenous zone and helps couples to enjoy sexier, more passionate intercourse. I would say, this is probably my favorite essential oil for sex.
TO PERFORM AS LUBRICANT
If you’re looking for a natural alternative to your lube, please stay conservative and use coconut oil, which is also known as the natural sex oil. Even though most of the other essential oil smells amazing, some of these oil might rip the latex of your condoms and/ or irritate our female organs. Other oil that could also be used as lubricants are olive oil and vitamin E oil.
